The Environmental Respect Awards was first introduced to the Latin America region in 2005, in an effort to recognize and promote environmentalism and the safe use of agricultural products.
The inaugural year of the Environmental Respect Awards - Latin America saw participation from five countries: Brazil, Columbia, Peru, Mexico, and Ecuador with a total of 29 entries for the region. Thirteen of these businesses took home Merit Awards, four were named Country Champions, and the first Latin America Environmental Respect Award Ambassador travelled to Washington, D.C. to be honored along with representatives from other facilities around the world.
In Latin America, safety and respect for the land is a top priority. The businesses that have participated in the program to date are shining examples of agriculture’s environmentalism and the dedication it takes to maintain a safe, healthy and prosperous world.
