2007 Latin America Winner Selection
2007 Environmental Respect Award Latin America Merit Winners and Country Champions were initially chosen by selection committees within each country. Each country held a selection event, with representatives from regional associations, regulatory agencies and DuPont Crop Protection. The regional selection panels included:
Mexico:
- Monica Olvera - AMIFAC director
- Ricardo Alarcón - AMIFAC (transportation & warehouse committee)
- Marcos Gaio - Crop Protection Director in Mexico
- Pedro Hernández - Lerma Plant Manager
Brazil:
- Cristiano W. Simon - ANDEF Executive President (Trade Assoc)
- César Rando - INPEV Executive President (National Disposal Package Institute)
- Henrique Mazzotini - ANDAV Executive President (Dealers Assoc.)
- Prof. Dr. Otávio Menten - USP (São Paulo universtiy)
- Prof. Luiz Carlos Castanheira - Gov. agency and UNICAMP Univesity
- Jair Kazinski - SENAR (Rural Training Service)
- Juan Carlos Bueno, João Lammel and Marcelo Okamura - DD directors
An international selection panel validated the countries choices and connected via a phone conference to choose an Ambassador of Respect for Latin America. The process was internet-enabled, with entries posted on the web so that each of the selection committee members could look at the entries and supporting documentation as they evaluated. The international selection panel included:

- Roberto Hererra - Pro-Agro, 2006 Ambassador of Respect winner,
calling from Mexico
- Alfredo Ruiz - CropLife Latin America, calling from the U.S.
- Raymond Forney - DuPont Crop Protection, calling from the U.S.
- Scott Lucas - Farm Chemicals International, calling from the U.S.
The Ambassador of Respect chosen by the selection committee will be honored in Washington, D.C. along with the Asia/Pacific Ambassador of Respect and the United States regional winners in July.
