Wednesday featured a full day of legislative analysis and key talks from beltway insiders and policy wonks. The program’s “News From the Hill” segment featured insights from lobbyists and representatives from regional associations and national powerhouses including CropLife America, The Fertilizer Institute, and the Agricultural Retailers Association.

Some of the issues affecting agribusinesses in the coming months include proposed rules on supply movement, chemical storage and spray drift.

“This is the biggest anti-business environment I’ve seen in my career,” said TFI President Ford West. And the administration isn’t calmed by what is happening in business, such as the banking meltdown, mining tragedies, and the oil spill, he said.
