| This Southeastern Iowa dealership began upgrading before tough Iowa containment laws were enacted. “Our all steel-and-concrete chemical warehouse is a good example,” says Ron Stutsman, president. “The sloped floors of the warehouse empty into drains and stainless steel piping that lead to a containment tank under the loading dock.” This design could contain a spill or water used in fighting a fire.
The Stutsman plant is located six miles south of Iowa City, home of the University of Iowa, in a community with 2,200 medical doctors. Because of this, Stutsman reports that they are living in a very health conscious community and that everyone needs to do their part to keep the environment healthy as well. | ||
