The 2014 DuPont Excellence Award recipients will be recognized during ceremonies in Wilmington, Delaware, on January 14, 2015. The celebrations will showcase our best examples of solving the world’s biggest challenges through science, collaborating with our customers and outperforming the competition.

The Sustainable Growth Excellence Awards seek to honor those teams and individuals who have made significant contributions toward DuPont implementing its mission, vision and the company’s 2015 Sustainability Goals.

The Environmental Respect Awards, co-sponsored by DuPont Crop Protection and Meister Media Worldwide’s CropLife® and Farm Chemicals International media brands, is the premier award program promoting stewardship among agricultural retailers and distributors around the world.  The program creates a unique opportunity to engage distributors and retailers, and through them farmers and their communities.  It also provides an opportunity for the stewardship leaders in the agriculture industry to be publicly recognized for their efforts.

The program started in 1990 in the United States as a way to recognize the great work being done by retailers.  Participants were challenged to step up as role models and to be the source of good news about agriculture.  In 2004, the program was expanded globally.  The Environmental Respect Award program will celebrate 25 years in 2015, a testament to its success.

Over the years more than 6,000 businesses have shared their stories of environmental stewardship, product safety standards, and customer and community outreach, and more than 400 have earned awards.  More importantly, the program has helped to innovate, educate, and improve stewardship standards globally.

Environmental stewardship is a core value of DuPont and this program allows the company and its partners to recognize leaders in the industry that stand for and demonstrate those same values.  It also provides the company with an opportunity to engage the agriculture industry and communities to promote improved stewardship guidelines and practices that make the world a cleaner, safer place to live.
