Kite Shares Its Commitment
To Environmental Stewardship

For the past 26 years, DuPont Crop Protection has honored ag retailers from around the globe with its annual Environmental Respect program. This event recognizes a select few retail establishments that have excelled in the area of environmental stewardship, exhibited at their facilities and through their actions in the field and as part of the communities in which they do business.

In 2016, the program hosted approximately 80 visitors from 10 different countries in Delaware and the surrounding states during the week of July 25th. It is conducted in partnership with both CropLife® and AgriBusiness Global™ magazines.

In addition to acknowledging 15 regional Environmental Respect winners from North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, the program also awards “grand prizes” to four companies considered to be “the best of the best.” These Ambassadors of Respect were announced at a special ceremony held in Wilmington, DE, on July 28th.

This year, Kite Agricultural Service and Trade Corporation, Hungary, was named ambassador in the Europe/Middle East/Africa region. “It is an honor to be (selected) to be an ambassador,” said Atilla Marvany, who represented Kite at the ceremony. “I was extremely surprised. I’m very happy that we got it. I will give my best regards from this association and society to our company that we are on the best path toward the future.

“Environmental stewardship is very important within our world. We are working within agriculture with manufactured chemicals and all kinds of different products where we have to implement and find the best usage of these materials.”
